It’s great to see the shoes coming with the new heel area design. Made to bend away from the Achille’s tendon, the shoes feel great on long runs, which can also work to improve their racing profile. With a single airbag which runs from the heel to the forefoot, the shoes are now better in terms of cushioning, with a more unitary feel. The difference is not too big for the previous generation, but I feel they are a bit smoother overall. Flexibility is still great though. This great flexibility is also based on the fact that Nike moved the bottom eyelets up.

With a flexible and comfortable feel, it is hard to find a match for the Pegasus 35. The shoes feel very lightweight which is great when hitting the pavement every day. The feel is not bad either. It is why you are able to find the shoes come without a traditional tongue, as it is attached to the sides. With a more socklike feel, the shoes are recommended for most runners looking for the ultimate comfort. Another great characteristic of the shoes comes with the available color options which really makes them look futuristic.

The running shoes easily stand out as one of the increased cushioning options on the market. At the same time, they come with valuable upgrades compared to previous versions and this makes them a worthy choice even for the Pegasus owners.

Among the most important upgrades, it’s worth noting Nike did a good job with flexibility. If the previous version had some minor issues due to the lacing, the manufacturer moved the bottom eyelet to open and to provide improved flex.
The collar which is now directed away from the Achille’s tendon can also be considered among the interesting upgrades. For many runners, this change alone can be a reason to consider upgrading their shoes. The premium design of the shoes is also an interesting addition and it makes the Pegasus 35 a good solution with casual wear, or on days when you are away from home and when you need comfortable shoes. Women also love the improved cushioning for their dedicated Pegasus 35 options.

The outsole of the running shoes features considerable rubber coverage. The rubber outsole strip is also made so that your feet can land better with every stride. Furthermore, the combination of Duralon and BRS 100 rubbers are a top choice when it comes to offering proper traction and increased durability. These materials are used to offer a better responsive against abrasion.

There’s little doubt that the main strength of the shoes comes with the full-length Zoom Air design. This compressed air encapsulation ensures that you land more comfortably on your feet. It is also one of the leading options when it comes to long-distance running which is often where you feel the impact and shocks on your knees and other joints.

The engineered mesh of the upper is hard to match for breathability, comfort, support, and stretchiness. It is one of the mains strengths of the shoes. As Nike fans might already expect, the Pegasus 35 running shoes also come with the Flywire design for improved lockdown. In the conditions in which it comes with the out-turned collar, it is one of the uppers which are made for proper Achille’s tendon protection. For the occasional runner, it might not be the most appealing feature. But seasoned runners know the importance of having shoes which do not press against this important tendon.

Size And Fit

When it comes to fit, the shoes are as good as expected. The Flywire lacing plays an important role for this purpose. At the same time, it’s worth mentioning that the shoes come with an engineered mesh which is a top choice for overpronation as well. To fit the needs of most people, the forefoot comes with a roomier design.
