Overview

With a modern design, the Adidas Pureboost running shoes are up to date when it comes to certain technologies. With a knit upper and a midsole which is supportive, the shoes follow the contours of the foot for a relaxing experience. With medium sizes available, the shoes work great for both men and women, even if the upper’s integrated tongue design takes some time to get used to. If you are a casual runner looking for quality shoes, this can be one of the trainers which you can count on every day.

8 reasons to buy

Outsole

There’s little doubt that Adidas fans are already familiar with the Stretchweb rubber. It proves to be a full-length design which takes the abrasion pressure of the midsole. At the same time, it could be improved over the long-term, after a few hundred miles. As the rubber also covers the midfoot area, you can expect extra support in this area and it can even suit some type of running styles.

Midsole

With a new direction for midsoles, Adidas uses the same cushioned pellets to create a responsive and cushioned running experience. Molded together into a single unit, the pellets are generally liked by most runners. The Boost technology offers the bouncy feel that also needs to keep you running longer.

Upper

The modern knit fabric of the upper is what represents one of the most interesting solutions when it comes to the ultimate feel. While you may think that this fabric can hinder your comfort during the hot summer days, the material is actually breathable. Some runners even reported using the shoes with no socks with no skin irritation.

One of the interesting upper design characteristics comes with the no-tongue approach. While you might think that there is a tongue on the upper, it is actually the same knit material which is folded twice. This enhances the sock-like feel of the shoes.

Updates

With a selection of some of the most popular technologies from Adidas and a balanced construction which follows today’s standards, the shoes can be among the recommended options when it comes to running on flat surfaces.

The fact that the shoes are made with the Boost technology can only be seen as a positive aspect. However, they also have a significant casual aspect in them which might not make them very special for runners.

If you are looking for shoes which come with the Boost technology and a sock-like feel, they can be an option to consider. Built with the comfortable knit upper, the shoes are among the most interesting choices from this perspective as they are very friendly to the skin. The full-length cushioning is not a bad update either. It can support your feet if you are a neutral runner but it can also support those with slightly lower arches.

Size And Fit

True to size, the shoes are easy to fit, even without a tongue. If you are a woman, you need to know that there are no dedicated shoes for you and that you will have to go with the same shoes men use. With a fit which can be customized with the help of traditional lacing, the shoes can be used in all types of running conditions.

The shoes feel great with the knit upper. While it is not the best know from Adidas, it comes with a soft feel which recommends the shoes for good comfort levels with great affordability. I also like the reinforcement in the mid-section of the shoes which makes them more stable, especially if you run every day and if you need to maintain their shape in time. The tongue, on the other hand, can feel a bit flimsy. The heel reinforcements are unique as well and they work great when you want that extra stability in the heel on demanding surfaces.

The upper of the shoes feels stable, even with the knit materials which can be soft at a first impression. With a good fit, the shoes offer plenty of room in the forefoot for the toes to spread out naturally. If you like a secure lockdown, the shoes can be a good option for you as well. However, some runners might feel that the lack of padding in the ankle area can be one of the most important drawbacks, especially for fit. As a daily trainer, the shoes work great, as long as you stay away from wet grass.
